Arts Center of the Capital Region/NYSCA Critical Forum 2020

Last night I participated in my first Critical Forum session via Zoom. I continue to be impressed by how innovative local arts programs have been in finding ways to virtually continue their programming and support artists during this uncertain time. Offered by the Arts Center of the Capital Region in partnership with the NYSCA Visual Arts Program, the forum is designed as a year-long professional development opportunity for emerging and mid-career artists. I’m thankful for being invited to join the program, and looking forward to receiving feedback from guest curators and gallerists, as well as getting to know the other participating artists and their work better over the coming months.

NYSCA/NYFA Artist As Entrepreneur Boot Camp

So grateful to have been selected to participate in the Artist As Entrepreneur Boot Camp professional development program presented by Saratoga Arts, New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA), and the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA). The course focused on practical skills in strategic planning, finance, law, marketing, and fundraising for emerging artists. I’m looking forward to following the careers of my fellow Boot Camp participants. Such an inspiring group of teachers and artists!
