Virtual Studio Tour

Since Stone Valley Arts was unable to hold an opening reception due to the pandemic, they invited artists to submit a short “studio tour” video for their online Artist’s Room. Here you can see the temporary workspace I recently set up in my basement and some new work.

Glorious Mutualism Virtual Tour

Stone Valley Arts produced a wonderful virtual tour of the Glorious Mutualism exhibition for those who can’t attend due to COVID-19 precautions. Gallery visits will be resuming on June 7th with a limited number of visitors inside the building at a time. Open gallery hours will be on Sundays, 1-4pm, or by appointment. The exhibition will be on display until August 9.

Glorious Mutualism

Looking forward to exhibiting three collagraph prints at Stone Valley Arts at Fox Hill in Poultney, VT, as part of the Glorious Mutualism exhibition. The exhibit will run in the main gallery from June 1 – 28 and then continue in the 2nd floor ballroom gallery from July 1 – August 9, with an opening reception on June 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. There will also be a virtual gallery walkthrough of the show on SVA’s website for those who can’t make it in person. (Note: All dates tentative pending adjustments to COVID-19 social distancing state guidelines.)

Arts Center of the Capital Region/NYSCA Critical Forum 2020

Last night I participated in my first Critical Forum session via Zoom. I continue to be impressed by how innovative local arts programs have been in finding ways to virtually continue their programming and support artists during this uncertain time. Offered by the Arts Center of the Capital Region in partnership with the NYSCA Visual Arts Program, the forum is designed as a year-long professional development opportunity for emerging and mid-career artists. I’m thankful for being invited to join the program, and looking forward to receiving feedback from guest curators and gallerists, as well as getting to know the other participating artists and their work better over the coming months.

NYSCA DEC Individual Artist Grant

Excited to share that I have been selected to receive a 2020 New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) Individual Artist Grant by the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council (LARAC) for the creation of a new series of collagraph prints exploring forms and textures commonly found in the natural and agricultural landscapes of Southern Washington County. The grant award ceremony is scheduled for Friday, September 4th, from 5-7pm, at LARAC. Looking forward to sharing news and progress on this project as it evolves.

Shirt Factory Gallery

Pleased to be exhibiting a new collagraph print at the Shirt Factory Gallery in Glens Falls, NY, as part of their Small Works 2020 National exhibition. The exhibit will run from February 12 – March 14, with an opening reception on Saturday, February 22, 2020, from 5 to 8 p.m.

ASA Landscapes for Landsake

So pleased to share that I have been invited to participate in the 18th annual Agricultural Stewardship Association (ASA) Landscapes for Landsake art sale & exhibition, October 11-14, in Coila, NY. The show is the region’s largest art buying event of the season, and serves as a fundraiser for the ASA and their efforts to protect our community’s working landscape of farms and forests. Hope to see you there!
