NYSCA/NYFA Artist As Entrepreneur Boot Camp

So grateful to have been selected to participate in the Artist As Entrepreneur Boot Camp professional development program presented by Saratoga Arts, New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA), and the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA). The course focused on practical skills in strategic planning, finance, law, marketing, and fundraising for emerging artists. I’m looking forward to following the careers of my fellow Boot Camp participants. Such an inspiring group of teachers and artists!

93rd ANNUAL International Competition

I am thrilled to been named a semifinalist in the Print Center’s ANNUAL International Competition, one of the most prestigious and oldest competitions in the United States. The jurors were José Diaz, Chief Curator of the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, and Lisa Sutcliffe, Herzfeld Curator of Photography and Media Arts at the Milwaukee Art Museum. An online exhibition of the finalists and semifinalists can be seen at http://printcenter.org/93rd/

Works on Paper 2018

One of my new screenprints will be included in the Works on Paper 2018, the 20th Annual National Juried Competition and Exhibition at the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts & Sciences, Long Beach Island, NJ. The Juror was Kim Conaty, Curator of Drawings & Prints, the Whitney Museum of American Art, NYC. Opening reception is on Sunday, June 17th from 5-7pm. The exhibition is on view from June 1st – June 24th.

3rd New York International Miniature Print Exhibition

Two monotypes from my “Glitch” series will be included in the 3rd New York International Miniature Print Exhibition, juried by the Associate Curator of Prints and Drawings at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY, Jennifer Farrell. Opening reception is on Saturday, October 28th from 6-9pm. The exhibition is on view from October 26th – November 28th at Manhattan Graphics Center, 250 West 40th Street, New York, NY.

Glitch: An Exploration of Digital Media

My piece, “Alpha Release,” is to be included in Glitch: An Exploration of Digital Media. The newest exhibition in Target Gallery, the contemporary exhibition space for the Torpedo Factory Art Center, explores emerging technological and interactive media in art. Adriel Luis, curator of digital and emerging media at the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center, juried the show. Opening reception is on Thursday, June 8, 6-8pm. The exhibition is on view from May 27th – July 9th at Target Gallery, Torpedo Factory Art Center, 105 N. Union Street, Alexandria, VA.
